Tommy Langley - Nor Cal Prep Recruit 2013

TOMMY LANGLEY

Modesto JC Football, Modesto, CA

Congratulations to Tommy Langley of Modesto Junior College who wraps up his career as a #MJCPirate this week with a Bowl bid pending. I first started Coaching Tommy before his senior season at Tracy High School. He has balanced work and sports and fatherhood at a young age electing everyday to getting up at the crack of dawn to work, taking full loads of classes and that's aside from training and football practices. When he first came out for the team I had my doubts if he was going to be able to compete on a college level but because of his attitude and effort, he just worked harder and improved. He has played in a close game every week and has handled himself through adversity and in my opinion, is perhaps, among the most improved players in the program. His biggest growth will come in speed and strength work this off season and reps of correct technique of foot position at impact and plant foot depth on kick off although he is very good at speciality pop up and onside kick offs. We now need to find this young man a 4 year college. I think he can successfully play at a small school perhaps D2 or NAIA program.
