UPDATED NOV. 2011:
Has already, earned WAC Honors for outstanding performance vs Idaho, San Jose State and nominated for performances vs Oregon, Boise, Fresno State and La. Tech handling both the Punting and Kicking Duties. Has learned to kick off and onside kick as well. Outstanding utility Specialist and Pro Prospect.

* WAC Player the Week Dec. 1. Hurst, a senior from Twain Harte, Calif. (Modesto JC), punted three times for a 43.3-yard average and was also perfect on all eight of his extra point attempts in the win over Idaho. Hurst finished the regular season 21-of-21 on his PATs and his eight extra points are the second most by a WAC kicker this year.

Nominated again for WAC Conference Honors with 4 Punts averaging 46.2 with 2 over 50 yds. with all 4 inside the opponent 20 yd. line as well as 2 Extra Points and 2 Field Goals from 19 & 24 yds. vs LA Tech. Nevada travels to Utah State this weekend then finishes at home with the Idaho Vandals Dec. 3.

UPDATED SCOUTING: AUG. 2011:
Has upgraded strength and balance and patients with setting up Punts. Battling the timing of the release like so many punters in the Nevada windy conditions but has shown dramatic improvements and solid punting in workout sessions with elite hang time balls. Should be able to launch some long ones and also pin opponents. Kick Off ability and On Side Kicking and Field Goal ability has grown. Could handle all 3 if asked.

Scouting (Staff):
Pro College Football Player Development and Scouting comments: Outstanding work ethic and ability to punt long field position changing bombs. Demonstrated good footwork and leg speed and timing. Uses more of hybrid technique emphasizing footspeed thru impact rather then flying off the ground. Instructed by Paul Assad.

From Practice Workouts and Evaluations: Good job yesterday. Probably hurting from being off but keep working on those things we did yesterday...... slow- down.....man, we'll do handle times later as you get closer to camp.
