Rice -- Rebounded from a mediocre sophomore season to reestablish himself as one of the top punters in Conference USA. 2006: Owls' career record holder, finishing with a 41.3 career average on 200 punts....averaged 38.8 yards on career-high 63 punts this season...closed the season strong, averaging 41.1 yards per punt over the last four regular season games...Had two punts of over 50 yards in the first six games, but produced five in the last six games...top overall game came in the double overtime win at Tulsa when he averaged 41.3 on seven kicks and placed a season-high three inside the 20...Induced fair catches on 21 of 63 punts and had only 19 kicks returned.

Averaged 49.7 yards on seven punts against SMU, the fourth-best average in Rice history; had four punts of at least 50 yards in the game...
