Paul Assad, Pro College Football Player Development and Scouting comments: Hard worker. Still working on techniques - wt. shift, alignment and footspeed thru the ball. Seems have around 40-50 yard ability on field goal and developing punting as well.
UPDATED AUG. 19, 2009: Demonstrated dramatic improvements with his punting. Showing timing of ball release and finishing his steps before beginning the punting motion and was booming some 50 plus yard / 4.5 punts with broken in balls. Could definitely be a player to watch for D1A and D1AA level Punting if he can show this ability in the games this year.
UPDATES: JULY 15, 2009 Trained this week both in Modesto, CA and spent a week in Boulder, CO at Kickers Paradise Camps with very accomplished College and Pro Level Players both kicking and punting. Made tremendous strides in comprehension alone of technique. Kicked Off improving to 3.9's inside 10 and still seems to be undercutting and field goals approximately near 50 yards ability and punted some decent balls being clocked in the 4.6's -4.8's best but not with the distance he wants or hitting 4.3-4.4 40 plus punts so improving but still not hitting his best balls. His strength alone has really improved he has definitely put in his time in the weight room this off season and with flexibility and movement fluency improving we will hopefully, see a giant leap in player performance so player to watch develop kick and punt at Bakersfield CC this year as a 4/4 freshmen this fall.
UPDATE FALL 2010:
Really improved this fall with ability to get field goal kicks up fast and straight. One of the states Junior College Leaders. Punting also steadily improves. Seems to have a really good mental edge for kicking in games. With improved Kickoff's and stretching distance to beyond 50 yard kicks off the ground, can be a legitimate college player on all levels.
