Paul Assad, Pro College Football Player Development and Scouting comments: Has a quick leg. Accurate. Maybe, the skills to play next level. Made several 50 yard plus field goals his senior season. Dramatically improved field goals and kick off's entering his senior season. Seems focused.

Career:
2008: Listed as the starting kicker on EWU's preseason depth chart.

2007: Made 11 field goals in 18 attempts as both marks rank ninth in school history. He also made 56 extra points to rank second all-time at EWU. He made 49-straight conversions to end the year and break the previous record of 47 set on two previous occasions. His 50-yard field goal against Idaho State (9/22/07) ranks as the 15th-longest in school history. Macias finished the season ranked 58th in the NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (fourth in the Big Sky) in field goals with an average of 0.85 per game. He was also 64th in FCS (fifth in the BSC) in scoring with an average of 6.85 points per game.


JC: Played at Moorpark College. Earned All-Western States Conference honors. He won a game for Moorpark with a 25-yard field goal with four seconds left.


HS: Graduated from Channel Island HS in 2005. Earned first team All-California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section District VI honors. Set a Ventura County record with 24 career field goals.
