Talcott Named Special Teams POW - ST. PAUL, MINN.: Southwest Minnesota State University kicker Scott Talcott was named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Special Teams Player of the Week on Monday. The announcement came from the NSIC offices in St. Paul. It was the third time Talcott has earned the honor.

Talcott Notes: Ranks second in school history with 21 career field goals and second with 39 field goal attempted.2007: Earned second team All-NSIC honors ... connected on 10-of-21 field goals and converted all 25 extra point attempts ... set school record for field attempts in one season ... 10 field goals made ties for second in school history ... was 8-for-13 inside 40 yards ... named NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week for booting school record tying four field goals vs. Concordia ... had season long field goal of 48 yards vs. Minnesota, Crookston ... was tied for first in the NSIC for field goals made per game with 1.00 per game ... named team special teams player of the week for the Minnesota, Crookston and Concordia games.2006: Named second team All-NSIC honors ...made 11-of-18 field goals and converted all 22 extra point attempts ... broke the school record for field goals made in a season ... was 7-for-9 inside 40 yards ... converted career-high seven extra points and two field goals against South Dakota Tech ... named NSIC Special Teams Player of the Week after connecting on 3-of-4 field goals, with a career-long of 44 yards, and two extra points in 22-20 win over Concordia ... hit game-tying field goal with 1:06 left in the fourth quarter against Upper Iowa and the eventual game-winner from 42 yards out in overtime ... named SMSU special teams player of the week for Concordia and Upper Iowa games ... connected on a 43-yard field goal against Winona and a 44-yarder against MSU Moorhead.2005: Appeared in three games as a back-up placekicker.
