Is one of the top 4 punters from 2009 Draft Class that personally trained and rated by Paul Assad, Pro College Football Player Development and Scouting. Excellent size and strength 6/3 - 240 lbs. Is following Pro Bowl Alumni and friend Shane Lechler's footsteps putting up great numbers for the Aggies. Has dramatically improved over the past year. Player to watch. Should get All Star Game Invitations. Says he will be in CA Training after the Fall Season.





Career:
2007 (Junior): Named second team All-Big 12 punter by both the conference coaches and the Austin American Statesman ... named to the Ray Guy Award watch list for the second straight season ... averaged a booming 44.2 yards per punt ... pinned opponents inside their own 20 yard line on 16 of his 56 punts (29%) ... half of his punts (50%) were non-returnable by the opposition ... blasted at least one 50-plus yard punt in ten games ... excellent hang time on his kicks allowed the punt coverage team to hold opponents to a 3.7 yard per return average ... drilled a 62-yard punt against Missouri ... best game came against Penn State in the Alamo Bowl when he punted six times for a 55-yard average including a 67-yard rocket and pinned the Nittany Lions inside their own 20 twice ... was named to the rivals.com All-Bowl team for his efforts against Penn State after breaking the school record for punting average in a bowl game which was ironically previously set by Shane Lechler in the 1999 Alamo Bowl against Penn State.

2006 (SOPHOMORE): Ray Guy Award watch lister averaged 44.3 yards on 50 punts, which ranked No. 10 nationally and No. 3 in the Big 12 ... earned second-team All-Big 12 honors ... put 14 punts inside the opponent's 20-yard line ... had 21 punts over 50 yards in length, including at least one in 12 of the team's 13 games ... had a net average of 37.5.



2005 (FRESHMAN): Averaged an A&M freshman record 43.2 yards on 46 punts, which broke the old mark set by former A&M All-American and current NFL All-Pro Shane Lechler ... earned Freshman All-American honors from SportingNews.com and Rivals.com ... had a long punt of 80 yards at Colorado that set the Folsom Field record and ranked No. 4 in school history ... averaged 40 or more yards per punt in nine of 11 games ... best game was a seven-punt, 48.1 average game against Colorado ... put 10 punts inside the opponents 20-yard line.



HIGH SCHOOL: Seven-time all-district selection at punter, placekicker or tight end and a two-time all-state selection at punter for Sealy High School ... for his career, Brantly put over 60 percent of his punts inside the opponent 20 (87-of-140) ... state's top punter/kicker by Dave Campbell's Texas Football Magazine ... also lined up at quarterback and tight end ... earned second-team all-state honors in 2004 after averaging 39.6 yards on 36 punts as a senior ... also put 15 boots inside the opponent's 20-yard line ... as a senior, Brantly passed for 285 yards on 26-of-59 attempts and hauled in seven catches for 102 yards and three touchdowns ... coached by Mark Faldyn.
